Privacy Policy

1. The short version

We collect the information we need to run The Sprint and nothing beyond that. We don't sell your data, we don't share it for advertising, and we don't hold your card details at any point. If you want to know what we hold about you, email us and we'll tell you.

2. Who we are

This site and The Sprint programme are operated by Huw Davies trading as Premium Designer Academy, ABN 71 742 767 584, of 2a Ronald Avenue, Frankston South VIC 3199, Australia. Any privacy question or request goes to huw@thesprint.com.au.

3. What we collect

When you apply. Your name, email address, and the answers you give on the application form, which typically cover your work, your business and what you're hoping to get from the programme.

When you enrol. Billing details, invoice records, and your signed Service Agreement. Payments run through Wise, so your card or bank details go to Wise directly. We never see or store them.

While you're in the programme. Your community profile and activity, your posts and messages, and recordings of the group calls you attend.

When you subscribe to anything. Your email address, plus which emails you open and click, which is standard behaviour for any email platform.

When you visit the site. Basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed, gathered through our hosting provider and analytics.

4. Why we collect it

To deliver the programme you paid for. To take payment and issue invoices. To keep in touch about your cohort, your community access and anything else relevant to your enrolment. To meet our tax and record-keeping obligations. To improve how the programme runs. And, where you've signed up for it, to send you marketing emails, which you can stop at any time using the unsubscribe link.

We don't use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we don't sell it to anyone.

5. Recordings

Group calls are recorded so participants can catch up and so we can improve the teaching. By joining a call you consent to being recorded. If you'd rather not appear, keep your camera off and use the chat. Recordings stay available to your cohort for your twelve-month access period.

6. Testimonials and results

We may reference your results in our marketing, including revenue figures, screenshots and quotes, but only with your explicit consent for that specific use, given by email or on a recording. You can withdraw consent for future use at any time by emailing us. That won't undo material already published, though we'll make reasonable efforts to pull it from future distribution. We won't disclose sensitive financial information without your written approval.

7. Who else touches your data

We use a small number of third-party services to run the business. Each one only gets what it needs:

Because several of these operate overseas, your information may be stored or processed outside Australia. We only use providers that apply reasonable protections, but by using this site and enrolling in the programme you consent to that transfer.

We'll also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it's necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

8. How long we keep it

Enrolment and payment records are kept for seven years, which is what Australian tax law requires. Community content and call recordings are kept for the duration of your access period and for a reasonable time afterwards. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Application forms from people who don't enrol are kept for twelve months, then deleted.

9. Security

We use reputable providers, two-factor authentication on our accounts, and we limit access to what's necessary. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but if a breach ever occurs that's likely to cause you serious harm we'll notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

10. Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it. You can ask us to correct anything that's wrong. You can ask us to delete information we no longer need, though we can't delete records we're legally required to keep. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.

If you're in the UK or EU, you also have rights under the GDPR, including data portability and the right to object to processing. The same email address handles those requests.

11. Cookies

The site uses cookies for basic functionality and, where analytics is running, to understand how people move through the pages. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not behave properly if you do.

12. Complaints

If you think we've mishandled your information, email us first and give us a fair chance to put it right. If you're not satisfied with how we respond, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

13. A note on the Privacy Act

As a small business, we may fall below the threshold at which the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) applies. We've chosen to operate to its standards regardless, because it's the right way to handle other people's information.

14. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on this page is the one in force. Material changes will be flagged to current participants by email.
